OBR break-in + Crash

I was planning on taking the boys out for an RC outing. I thought I would do a little more OBR break-in out front in the street before we left. I had my 6yr old do some recording for me. Please forgive the video quality as he is still learning about filming. LOL. My 9yr old decided to run his shredder since we were having some fun. The biggest problem is that they get a little intimadated by the loud gassers and tend to loose focus on what they are driving. LOL. My son ends up bumping the wall and snaps the entire front end off his shredder. :eek: The road is a little slick from the rain the previous night. I end up loosing control of the newly hopped up XB. I'm on the second tank of fuel for the new OBR. You can see by the smoke it is still running on the base settings for break-in. I must say for running rich it screams. I cant wait to start power tuning. If you can tough it through this boring video, you can see how one of my cacti saves the XB. A tiny scratch on the pipe is the only evidence of the crash. Just plain lucky. :o LOL.


Unfortunately the outing was canceled due to the snapped Shredder.

Yes you were very lucky! The time spent with your sons is priceless. Say Brian think you could bottle your weather and send it to us guy`s in the midwest and east coast?The new engine is cook`n very nice,should really be clicken and gettin when broke in.

That was a cool video. The ending was the best. Hope there was no damage. And like a true redCAT, it landed on all four paws.
 
^^Thanks. Tiny scratch on the back of the pipe. Like I said, I was really lucky it didn't hit that concrete wall. The cactus saved me, LOL.

You probably had the same gut feeling as I did when I was on my second tank and my throttle servo burnt out and my Mt went full throttle into a 6x6 railroad tie.
 
cool video, still wish they'd come up with alum, plate for the shredder. It's awesome platform, just has a weakness that can be a pain in the ass. Hahaa Glad you and your kids have fun with the rcs.
