So I finally got to take my truck for a spin:D she was running good then all the sudden it lost all kinds of power and the it just stopped. Tried to pull the pull starter and yep.......seized! :( So I took it out and started to tear it down. everything was tight like its supposed to be and the cylinder slid right off the piston. thats when I spotted the issue. turns out my OBR 28.5 kit was bored off center and somehow one of the cylinder lips thin thin thin snapped off:eek: and went down in the motor. Motor is done. crank bearings are seized. needless to say no more OBR for me. after 109 bucks all I got out of that motor was about two hours of use. Time for a zen from somewhere else I guess. Damn the bad luck. :(

Ya, sometimes those types of things happen...it could happen just as easy to an ESP engine to. Where it counts is in the customer service. See what OBR does. Give them a chance to make it right.

Two years ago the same thing happened to me with their headkit. Kicker is, mine was soo thin you could practicaly see through it. I never bothered to even install the head kit. I e-mailed and called never getting a reply. I told myself I would never buy from them again. Which I've kept my word to myself.

Now, reading many many post on HBF about how great ONB is to deal with and the quality of their products, it seams they may have turned things around. Although, I'm still not ready to give them another chance.

The whole reason I bought from them was the rave reviews. I will give Sean a call but even if they replace the head kit I will just shelf it for now. Dropped the motor off at a local small engine repair so they could get the parts needed to repair the bottom end(Like to support my local economy too). I ordered a 26 cc head kit from LSR for now to go on the CY. Maybe in a couple weeks I will get a 4bolt zen. I Have a new project showing up Monday(dune runner) which is going to need my time for now so the mt will be sitting for a few. Anyways I am not going to bash on OBR as I am sure I just got a a rare flaw. They will get another chance with me later down the line.

So I sent some pics to Sean at OBR. he is going to stand behind his product 100%. Thats good customer service. Still will shelf it for later but definately will give them another try.

Received the new top end today. Its on the shelf waiting for the next mishap. lets hope it sits there for a while.OBR has outstanding customer service. I will be doing business with them again.
