Not really bud.If you know what your doing its a piece of cake.You'll just have to look at the bore and piston really.

So are the heads ported and modified on these then? Will it have a bigger piston and ring? I've heard these oddified 23 can make 5 odd hp?

but mine turned out good and was one of oddie's own engines he built in 2006

yeah there ported alright

32mm piston 0.8 ring on mine
when built it had just under 6hp and 3nm so i added a vrc pipe and red race ignition v2 kit some zero drag seals

All I would say about buying a secondhand engine that A aren't complete and B aren't from someone that can tell you the history of it (if it's a top oddified tuned engine or a fuilee 23cc bag of nails) then I'd steer well clear.

You never know, this may be a minter or a lumpy paperweight.

You could email the link to Ian and see if He recognises the engraving.

Whats up with that piston looks likew somebody took a drill and put some holes in it they don't look real clean.
