Hi guys, not sure if anyone remembers me, but I done the ddm mod on my dune runner, I never could keep the exhaust bolts tight and ended up losing them, long story short I moved and just got it out tonight to tinker with it. I picked up some new bolts while I was at work and installed them, just as they started getting tight one of them stripped :( as it is an $800 toy I about burst into tears haha. I looked at replacing the cyinder head but all I can find is a 29cc and I don't know if tapping it will prove to be stable enough. Anyone throw in some advice?

Re: Oh noe!

Are you able to throw in exhaust studs? Otherwise go with a esp 30.5 champ. Ported top end that will make your dune runner with the rear dom really Wang! Braaaa

Well with bolt holes being m5.08 holes I couldn't find any studs this would fit at work. I work at advance auto parts, so the stuff I have there isn't really in idea of rc cars haha

well if I end up having the replace the head, I am stapped for cash at the moment so could you point me to the factory head? I checked largescalerc and davesmotors but only ones I seen was for the 29cc

Re: Oh noe!

I am unsure of the stock head as building engines and all the 28.5 and 29 and 29.5 and so on confuses me. I know others will chime in with experiance

I'm just going to add. It's the +2mm crank that makes it a 30.5. The 30.5 HY that comes in the Cats has a +2mm crank.
