I really don't understand how that can be possible.

For starters I am an HOA hater. I have used my companies attorney to help me with mine. My HOA doesn't like me bringing a company truck home and leaving it in my driveway. When I use the attorney I have always won. Basically an HOA can not enforce a bilaw if it conflicts actual law. There is no law that states you can't keep a vehicle with a name on the door in your driveway.

Is there a law in Illinois that says you can't own a house if you are noisy? I highly doubt it. Someone just needs better representation. LOL

No they got the boot because they filed a false police report which was the last straw they werent maintaining their lawn, they were putting garbage bags in other nieghbors garbage pile on garbage day and they don't pick up dog poop!!!!!!!! My nieghbors could really careless if I'm making noises (mowing the lawn, trimming hedges running my xt etc etc..) in the morning because they are doing the exact same thing!! that really sux that you cant bring your work truck at home! In my subdivision 3 home owner own their own lawn care company and they leave their trucks in the driveway!! Are you in a Semi-gated subdivision?? But overall those guys were horrible neighbors!! I mean if your neighbors dog pooped on your lawn and didnt pick it up wont you be mad?? personally i don't mind dogs pooping in my lawn just pick it up and let me know if you pulled out some grass!! lol
 
I'm saying HOA rules are not the law. Not even close. They just think they are. Most States plus the Feds have passed laws protecting home owners from the power hungry HOAs. :)

Agreed! HOA's are ridiculous. We're planning on giving ours the boot.

Exactly. You really have to wonder what the hell is going on when you can't make changes to YOUR house, or park wherever you want in YOUR yard without getting threatening letters, possible fines and liens. Such bullshit.
