Yes that's the lubrication for your motor. But of its dripping out on the ground you are probably too rich on your carb settings. Che k your plug if it's very black and oily your too rich and will soon foul the plug. If your motor is new you should be a little rich for the first few tanks. Cheap crappy oil can also cause excessive oil in the exhaust as it often doesn't mix with the fuel properly.
