I'll put the the lower sun gear, the spider gears in then fill in all the voids with fluid. Spin the assembly as you go, keeping pressure on the cross pins or else they'll lift out. Fill, spin, fill, spin etc. Get behind the spider gears as well. Then I'll put the other sun gear on the top. Fill in all of the voids with fluid. Do your best to spin everything while keeping pressure on to keep it all together. Wipe all of the excess fluid off of the top then close 'er up with the ring gear or spur gear. I use a thin layer of grease on the out drives where it sits in the bearing and also a small dab of grease on the "o" rings inside the diff. Don't forget to re install the access/drain plug back in before you put fluid in. (Experience talkin here, lol) The axle boots work really well for keeping dirt out of the drive cups. There is virtually NO wear on my cups and dog bone/cvd drive pins. I dip them in grease then install them with the boots on. I wish the centre diff would use the boots cuz the diff cups and drive pins wear out SO quick.
