What are the good and bad of each?

OK since you asked, I will start...

Vehicle: I have an FG MT, I love it but the suspension leaves something to be desired.

Motor: I am waiting on my CY Gp290, so I have no opinion... But I wish I hadn't messed with the stock Zenoah 26, it rocked.

Pipe: Jet-Pro version 1 silenced, I love the power, but since I installed the pipe, I don't have much steering, partly because the front wheels are in the air.

Radio gear: Now you guys are gonna laugh at me, I am using an Airtronics Caliber 3PS from 1993... (It is the only transmitter I trust... I threw my M-11 in the trash!) With a Hitec 5955 Throttle/brake servo and a Hitec 5745 steering servo.

What about you?

seems as we are such good friends and we never critisize one another i will start off :lol::lol::lol:

ok i run an fg beetle pro love it.have it all upgraded to all alloy bar the radio tray and shocks which will be next victims lol (general discussions fg beetle rebuild) in another few days lol

1/have 4000plus spent on everything so far on god knows what and where.

2/jetpro with chrome k&n with outerwears

3/i run a newly rebuilt o neills 27.2cc zenoah race ported bigbore kit with 2mm stuffed stroker kit.

4/hitek aggeressor digital transmitter with two hitek digital metal gear servos,hs throttle-6592 645mg, steering-.hs 5745mg

5/cable rear brakes,hydrolic front (next week)

6/airbrushed one off metallic blue effect bodyshell with black rear wing.

7/have also a spare cy29cc big bore engine with chrome casings.i also have my two old perfect G260 zen heads and pistons.

8/also another bodyshell getting painted,black with some cheqered designs.

9//lots of elcon bits in her too.

10/ love this beetle,excellent machine,10/10

11/also have my nitros,my first thunder tiger ssk v1 which i built kit form 6 odd years ago,traxxas tmax 2.5 and my revo 3.3.

i will keep the beetle and never sell it,going to buy the new hpi baja 5t next in may,and in two weeks i am going to buy the hobbypro bmw 1/5th scale on road car.

Firehammer - Didn't love it stock now love it upgraded.

27cc CY. Better then the stock 23. Had to find a cheap replacement for the 23 due to a stripped exhaust.

DOM pipe. Awesome.

All my radios are Spektrum. Had my problems but always sent them in and they replaced or fixed them with upgrades.

Throttle servo is a JR something that needs more torque but needed a quick servo one day when I burnt the stock one.

Steering is a Futaba 3300 something that came stock - Still working, a bit weak but not bad.

FGMT - Love it!! Its 1/5 scale.

G260. Always been reliable and gives me great power right where it needs to be.

DOM pipe. Awesome.

Throttle, rear brake and front brake servos are Hitec 5645MG's A bit weak and I will be selling them and getting higher torque servo's.

5745MG servo for steering - Just right.:)

HPI Baja - Love it!! Its 1/5 scale.

27.2 non ported - Gives great revs. Next head kit will be the ported one.

DOM pipe. Awesome.

9100T Throttle brake servo. I love it.:)

KM Baja - Not sure brand new but needed a bit of upgrades to make it good.

KM pipe. Not sure about performance cause it is not designed like the DOM.

JR 9100T throttle brake servo - Damn near 1/2 the price of the buggy.

HPI metal Geared steering servo. Worked great in my other will work good here. A bit weak but good to go.

All in All I need to get a Rampage so my MT is not so overwhelmed.
 
-i have an hpi 5b ss that has never seen fuel! no radio. no paint. just sits on the shelf in my office. 8 months old. i traded my first 5b and wasnt so happy with the trade, so i bought this out of guilt. you guess what i traded it for.
-xrc rc-1 on-road. has a ported cy23 and stock can. fg gears and pmt tires, futaba 3pm, powder coated everything white. ran for 1 tank. besides the mill, this thing sucks!
-hobby pro gt-40 on-road. well thats what it started as. everything but the gas tank and radio tray is now fg sportsline. pmt tires, futaba 3pm, non-ported cy25.4, fg pipe, front cable brakes, steel gears and fg adjustible diff, clutch and futaba 3pm. this rig is sickly fast and i love it
-my newest ride(2 weeks)!! rampage(RAGE) MT. all stock. should get my new shell, aluminum front and rear suspension arms, alum. steering mount and some steel gears on friday. it has its own futaba 3pm.(the 2 others share a radio)
i also have an hpi rs4 nitro, traxxas rustler vxl, with 3s lipos.

my next rig is going to be a rampage tt. maybe buy the end of the summer.. please, please, please,

Baja 5B - the Mean Green One. ESP 27.2 full mod GBE side bleed 668 carby. too many upgrades but still not enough.
Baja SS - HOOTERS Baja. TS Reed case with ESP full mod Zen 26 topend with JPV4 and 668 carby-DITTO. lol

Now sold Bergonzoni, Stock Boss/Tach 23cc Reed Case motor

ive ran CY and Zen 23s, Zen 26s, CY 28.5s as well as the ESP motors.
ALL MY cy motors failed. they all lost crank bearing within 3 to 4 gallons max. Zens are good at 4 gallons on the TS/ESP and 9 gallons plus on the ESP 27.2.

i run a React for my rigs, even my crawlers. great radio, very versatile.

next LS/ was really thinking on a 5T, but i think im going to hold off. i ll likely do a custome 1/5 crawler if i can pull it off. my next Major project i just started to debate. 1/3 scale dirt bike running a TS/ESP 30.5 and TGN.
