We have finally got a track that has given us a space to race on-road oval. The QSAC track near Indianapolis has created a buggy class. We had our first race last week & it was great. With our on-road set-ups they handle awesome. Here is a video of us doing some practice in a local school parking lot.

Here is a video I shot last year of the track where we are now racing buggys.

Best place to start is a set of axle extenders & some shock limiters inside the shocks. Along with that some heavier weight shock oil is good, especially in the rear. The lower & wider stance is the way to go fast on-road. From there adjust the spring rates for your driving style & your ready.

Thanks for the comment, but it sounds to me like you've never raced. We are WOT on both straights & averaged about 41.5 m.p.h. in (2) 50 lap races. If you were to be going any faster, you would never make the turns. Our lap times were about 4 tenths of a second slower than the sportsman 1/4 scale cars on average. They were running average 6.3 seconds. We were running 6.7 average. Anyone in the Indianapolis area feel free to come & join us this weekend on Saturday 6-14-08.

How hard is this kind of driving enginewise? I mean it must be though for the engines to go att full speed for such a long time  Do you need to change things like pistons rings, bearings often?
