I bought an Oneil Brother's 30.5cc race ported kit. http://www.oneillbrothers.com/rccar/itemdescription/30_kit_mpp.htm

Wow, does it run strong. I had a 28.5 ESP head kit and the ONB has more power at EVERY RPM level. There is absolutely NO hesitation or bogging...it lights up the tires immediatly and revs much higher...it is very noticable by listening to it a full throttle at top speed. I would say it has 15% more power everywhere than the ESP 28.5 (but the ESP kit did not have a stuffed and stroked crank)

If you are shopping for a Big Bore kit...I recommend this one in the link above. Available from ONBrothers on ebay for $149 shipped. make sure you get the race ported one. They have one for $109 that is not race ported. Get the $149 one above. This kit rocks!

I want one too I heard a 4 bolt zen was on it's way I e mailed sean at onb and he said they would be porting and modding the 4 bolt zen 30.5cc

Yep, ONB says the ceramics give it 500 extra RPM alone on top-end. I am really impressed with this kit and ONB. What is next? Already have a Jetpro pipe. What about a different carb than stock, or lightened flywheel, or iridum spark plug from Denso? I love doing things to improve the power myself. What have you guys had good luck with to improve performance?

I like my 813 carb and z rc tall intake. I heard the plug is a waist of money. I will be purchasing a 30.5cc onb engine soon. I like my 28.9 but moo and forist I know run the sh@tout of theres.

Hi!

I have a 23cc CY stock that would like to upgrade.Do you guys change the carb too with that 30.5 kit?Other than the ceramic bearings and that 30.5 kit what else would be required?

Seals,gaskets?

I am using the stock carb that came on my engine and the stock bearings at this time. Get the kit....nothing else is required. It comes with all the gaskets you need. You will be AMAZED with the performance! My engine rips! To give it even more punch off the line, get an 8000 rpm clutch spring or fully adjustable clutch...like an elcon or lauderbacher. I have the Lauderbacher, but I had to sand the shoes so they would slide easily. It works good now. I think elcon clutches are a bit more common.

That VRC pipe on a ONB 30.5 has gotta be insane. I wouldn't try that on a TT. IT'll probably blow the tires off. You prolly need those massive MT tires just to tame it some haha.

oh it's sick alright, you think a onb ported 30.5 has got torque, the vrc just unleashes it's real potential...remember, and anyone who runs an fg will, the RN fatpower, that was totally insane and impossible to acquire, i know i tried for months trying to get Rinus to make me one, well vrc in Holland made them for Rinus and this pipe is an the same design as the RN fatpower...there is no better pipe available..period...it's worth building a cage and getting everything else to fit around this puppy.
I just ordered a nutech MT and have (on backorder from Sean at ONB..dammit) a 5b side propipe coming for it OMG! and i'll be throwing one the same as the MTpipe above on my TT 28.5 as well...if you want the best pipe on the planet you have to get one of these...honestly they're f$#king mental...massive torque and rev like a wankel rotary..it's big step up in performance from the rear dom's i've been running and they're definitely no slouch!
im getting onb 30.5 machined and race ported also but will put on my 5b..

moo how much was the nutech mt?post pic when u get it.im liking the buggy thunderbolt prokit II.
