Wow, that thing sounds sick! You should run it on where's there's a bit more traction and see if it'll flip over from a wheelie. Nice vid.:)

Nice!! that thing sounds great. Did you have to do any special mods to the engine to get it to fit or was it a straight install?

Great choice of engine, i got the 30.5 3mm 7hp and love it :D
Make sure you use 927 castor oil mixed with your fuel for long life of the engine as recommended by obr it also has a cleaning detergent added so it cleans the engine as you go

I didn't get any papers or user manual with the engine, but I have read what you say about the oil. Here in Norway I can't get hold of that oil, but I'm using Husqvarna XP Professional Performance Low Smoke, any takes on that one?

Just the usual stuff, dremel some stuff off the side of the engine to make it fit behind the thank and one egnine mount at the bottom to fit with the 4x4 kit. Without the 4x4 kit you just have to remove the bit explained in the FG MT user manual.

1st tank.i wonder what it will be like after the 4th or 5th,wow .with that pipe and engine,i guarentee you will be able to gear it up to do ridiculas speeds, very nice, great sound

Takk takk, er veldig fornøyd :):) I'm very happy the way it performs now, I major step up from the ESP engine.

I have it geard at 44/20 and I think I'll leave it at that. The clutch bell, gear plate and smaller gear gets a bit hot. I tested it with some spit (old nitro trick;)) and it doesn't "boil", that way it should be under 100 celsius. Is it normal that it get's some what hot at that gear ratio? I have installed an alu gearplate, so it should be ok.

Bearing are new, Original FG's. Some heat there must be, right?

Guess it doesn't matter couse it doesn't seem too hot. The pinion is the only thing that is getting very hot on mine, but i don't have alu gear plate. Maybe it transfer heat from the clutchbell. It is probably isn't anything serious ;)
Anyways, very nice lights!!

(BTW did the engine shut down becouse you used killswitch on your transmitter right :) )

the lights look good, are you using a light controller from killer rc? you've done a nice job on your truck.

If you look in the KillerRc part of this forum you can see how I wired my lights with a 11.1 lipo and 6 volt step down to work with the RX :)

44/20 on monster truck wheels is plenty, around 52mph,that engine could definatly push 42/22,easy,nice work mate,.
