Just took delivery of my ONB race ported Zenoah 4-bolt 30.5cc........I have to swap some parts around and get it in the truck. Then the painful 3-tank break-in, but I already set-up my radio for 50% so no accidents. One note: Sean has been the BEST to work with on this project. He's an extremely busy guy but yet took a few minutes to help me out. A minute of his time is like months of researching! THANKS SEAN !!!!
 
What version ya get? The race ported or the full mod? The full mod is....well nuts. I have me EPAs set to 3/4 throttle and still cant hardly drive it.


I agree they are the bomb, Ive got nothing but good things to say about them. I had them work on the 35cc Motor Ron E has and they were great to deal with!
 
Race ported......the full mod, as you say is sick, :eek: I'll be lucky to get everything out of the race ported! And yes, I've read your posts and you guys are my idols and inspiration! :D

Got lucky on the engine, sold a badass 25cc DS/sikk motor to a friend and had enough to cover the rest to get the full mod Zen. Otherwise my poor butt wouldve never been able to afford it. The race ported 30.5 is still supposed to be a wicked motor! Go easy, otherwise youll be ripping your driveline apart :)
 
Yeah my driveline seemed pretty stout when paired with the 28.5 unported.....but I am a little concerned now......Moo to the rescue.....hmm, Moo says new clutch......next project......speaking of clutches, do I need to swap the Zenoah clutch for a CY or will the Zenoah work?

The clutch works fine, its the clutch housing that is different. The zenoah one is a few millimeters wider than the CY. The nubs, or spacers if you have the alloy one,on the backside of the gear plate will need to be shortened a bit. Or you can bolt up a CY clutch housing instead of the Zen. Also the front engine mount hole will need to be slotted a bit.
 
Thanks, I dremmelled the aluminum spacers and used my CY fan cover. Everything bolted up fine. Now if I can just find the time to run her!
 
LMAO, well, half throttle it is! ......I broke the motor in for 3 tanks and let it cool between 20 minute runs ......yadda yadda yadda......so I adjust my radio for full throw and both times I went over 1/2 throttle I destroyed the drivetrain......spun the hex on the clutch the 1st time and then threw the 29/25 shaft down the road the next time.......the truck went off to the side and under a tractor trailer.....I was too busy running from those gears hauling at me at 30mph.....geesh...always somethin'
 
The power is absurd isnt it? Im running richer than factory settings with 3/4 throttle EPAs and its more juice than my 35+lb truggy can handle.
 
Yeah, I'm running a little richer than 25:1 with Klotz R-50....smells nice...this thing revs faster and higher than my 28.5 ever did....and I've yet to hit WOT !!!
 
This thing is NASTY.....crisp throttle response.....this is what a 2-stroke really is! Get one!
