A few folks I know run the x-can on their bajas and mt5,and they love them. But I have heard just as many bad opinions as well, and I am seriously considering one. They seem to fit under the body well without cutting or melting issues from what I have seen. And the people I know talk about the big gains in low end torque but not really speed.I am looking for the most low power I can get for a upcoming xt to really extremely big mt. But I'd like some other opinions on the X-can.

It was designed for looks and fit. They are less restrictive than a stock can so low end is improved. The x can is not a tuned pipe. I have never heard of someone who prefers the performance of the x can over a tuned pipe. The x can looks cool and fits everything that is what drives it's popularity.

I ran an X-Can style (King Motors version of it) on my MT. It worked alright....def. is not a tuned pipe but was a step above the stock can muffler. The only thing you won't like is if you don't have the long tubes coming out of the body you can get a "splatter" effect of exhaust all over the inside of your body/parts. Not a big deal though. For the money, put it into a tuned pipe to get the greatest benefit. just my $.02

baja 5t can over the x-can me thinks :)

i know some might argue, but on a "stock" engine, the 5t can & a tuned pipe give near enuff the same resualt, this is what i found while testing at a onroad track, i was getting basicly the same lap times with both. The 5t can had a little more bottom end, and a ddm pipe gave little more rpms.

i preffer the 5t can just for safer bashing :) and save the pipe for the track or to show off ^.^

Thanks. I didn't even know the baja 5t can would even fit a rampage xt and it sounds like it might be my better cheap option for performance now. Then I can save up for a tuned pipe.
