What options are available for stronger differenital cups? Will the HPI and aftermarket diff cups work? I read several threads and there were a few mentioning the cat 5 mfg rings but they seem to have been discontinued.

Yeah that is a NO on the HPI Diff cups and aftermarter one. Did some more digging and found that the diameter of the shaft inserted into the differential housing is too large for the Rampage differential. The HPI Baja uses a 10mm shaft and the Rampage has an 8mm shaft.

I will look into making a steel ring for mine. Unless someone chimes in with a place that has some already done up or another option to consider........

Take a cup to Lowes or home depot, I am sure they will have something there that can be used as a ring.

Well to be honest I am not real sure what to be looking for exactly. I was thinking if steel expands when heated I should look for something with a slightly smaller inside diamter that I could try and heat up and press onto the cup. Will doing something like that keep them on the cup or should I just plan on using some JB Weld on them. I could use some suggestions as to the inside diameter for the pipe. I measure the outside diameter of the drive cup as being .78". Ideas on how to keep the ring on the cup, etc..
