I am looking at buying a 8000 rpm clutch but not sure if the Hpi clutch is worth the price compared to a clone 8000 rpm clutch which looks identical... By clone, I was meaning those Rovan 8000 rpm clutches, etc.. Will they both be the same in peformance and durability? Thanks.

Is your stock clutch blown? If not try the 8000rpm spring from DDM and see how you like it.

I broke my spring last fall and purchased a new DDM clutch with 8000rpm spring and an extra set of springs on the "black friday" sale. I thought my clutch was toast, then found out I had broken the stock KM 6000rpm clutch. I am now on my 4th gallon of fuel with the stock clutch.

And yeah I like the stall of the 8000rpm clutch spring. If you want to get all sorts of crazy DDM has a 9500rpm spring as well.

In what i had and seen on other cars those clutches aren't worth having as you will be replacing them quite often.Buy a decent clutch and it will last you a couple years compared to seeing a weekend.
