Why Redcat Racing take so long to have the Hop Ups for the Xb available? I like my Xb, but the reality is that many of the Xb stock parts are crap and we need the Hop Ups to continue use the cars for more than 5 minutes a day. In the Redcat Racing site there're a lot of useful Hop Ups for our cars, but are out of stock a long time ago, why take so long to have it back???

Maybe this is a question for Mr. Darin Oreman (Redcat President) only, but I want to know the opinion of the members too and in this form we can make more pressure about this issue.

I can tell you the answer you will get would never be entirely truthful. First off when you are an importer of china goods the MOQ (minimum order quantity is very large). Im not sure about HSP, but most china manufactures are build to order. This means you have to come up with the capital, place your order, wait for it to be manufactured and then wait for it to be shipped. For a small company like Redcat you have to order only when and what you think you can sell. Please remember they are in business to make money. They will only order what they think they can sell. Just to put things into perspective for you our forum has about 1500 members. Robs hpi Baja forum has 22,000 members. That is also why there is a only a few people making aftermarket hop-ups for Redcat. There needs to be 100x more of us. Redcat makes has a great product and I feel they are motivated on quality control. I do share your frustration when you want to find a hop-up and no one has it. Redcat is here in phoenix. Currently they don't even have a store. If you want something you have to call in an order and pick it up in the afternoon. I don't want to paint a bad picture so that is all I will say. They do work out of their location I think they should sell retail and have all goodies on display. Part of that equation would mean a nicer facility. There kinda in the geto. It would be my dream to walk in and shop. I bought a Redcat because I wanted something different. Everyone has a Baja. HSP is the manufacture of the Redcat lineup. They also manufacture the Exceed line. Sometimes Exceed will bring in a part that Redcat chooses not to. In their defense they are trying to grow in this economy. They will always listen if you have a problem.

you really just have to be creative and jerry rig it if you cant find something. thats been working for me lol. jb weld and tape are my hopups many because there cheap.

i was lazy and didnt remove all the screws and loctite them but i did use painters tape all along the bottom and im glad i did, it peels off easy to. two of the engine mount screws where hanging on in the tape after a 30 min run. a little loctite and they wont come out again. the tape also protects the screws and finish on the bottom. thats just one example of my jerry riggen

Be specific on the parts you are having trouble with. Have you looked at 7075rc:

I've had little trouble with my XB. Which parts are you having trouble with?

That was a great explanation there and in depth thanks for taking the time.

If you lived closer to HPI, do you think you could go in there and get parts out of thier retail store? Redcat is an importer, not a retailer.

As for the hop-up availability, I doubt its a money versus sales issue. I believe its more of an availability issue from HSP.

As for the

Rob, I never stated HPI has stores. I only commented that I wish Redcat did. If I had a choice I would always visit a store. I am a impatient person and hate to wait for the mail. Lol

I agree 100%

I know Redcat makes it very easy to be a dealer, I've looked into it. I know that they will drop ship for any of their dealers. I can say I'm glad that some of their dealers carry at least some inventory. One problem is, when the dealers don't carry their own inventory. If Redcat is out of stock then the dealer who doesn't carry an inventory is also out of stock.

Yeah I've been into the Chandler mall store. They have a hannibal that they knew nothing about. They didn't want to talk to me about it after I mentioned Redcat. They did make me laugh when they said their Hannibal was more truck then most people could handle.
