I like the Outerwear covers they have always been very good to my air filters, and I think that this one would be great as well.
Are you thinking about getting one?

I did order one to put on my new zenoah. I run at the park all the time and the grass just stick's in the head. I can't wait to try it out. :hammer:

When I had my Baja, The grass would be a killer to clean after. I noticed that with the MCD it is not such a big problem. Let me know how it goes I might pick one up!!

I think the velcro adhesive will not stay on too long. Once the engine heats up it would just start to melt wouldn't it? My Elcon Cleon get pretty hot under the body when I run it eventhough it has vent holes. I think the steel/aluminum mesh glued/siliconed onto the case works best.

Selwa,
what kind of glue do you use to put the steel mesh on? I got a whole bunch of JB Weld that I was thinking of using. It looks like it could take the heat!

I think the JB weld or gasket maker might work for it. Just give it enough drying time.

All you guy's have come up with some very good valid concern's.
I am sure that they have tested the product, if not I will:badair:

Tell you what. I got some velcro with double sided tape. and once that stuff is glued it's harder than hell to get it off. Give it a shot I would love to get one if it holds up!

I made this in 10mins and for 25 cents. stops grass and fin snapping rocks and allows plenty of airflow. got the mesh from home hardware $2.50 for 3 sqft, enough to make at least 10

I have the same stuff to keep the rabbits out of my backyard. :clown::clown: I spent $100 at Canadian tire to do my whole fence.:blink:
