hi guys

im about to buy this: ebay item number: 370464487412

but im using a TGN redneck on my FG stock filter for my MB Pro.

Anyone know if this cover will fit over the TGN redneck? Also i cant find anywhere in UK that sells the red coloured one so im ordering it on ebay from the states, anyone know of a retailer in UK that might have the red coloured one in stock ?

Ta guys :)

hehe no probs dude, i almost ordered that one myself then noticed it was black! ...yup, im a fussy flucker! lol

the elastic one will be a TIGHT FIT, but it does go on. much easier with the cage off. or if you have the angled Shredstack, it helps as well.

i don't like the filter bags like outerwears, much prefer the dual stage TGN or Outlaw ones, much better filtering than a thing bag.

aye will be using the 2 mate :)

i have a TGN redneck that slips over the stock FG filter, but gunna use an outerwears for extra protection as some crap got through the TGN last time i used my MB :(

snap, infact mine was that bad, it stopped the choke from closing! :( didnt realise at 1st... last time i used my MB my choke would not close, thought nothing of it really except i thought it was just a bit stiff!

when i stripped down my MB, the inlet was plastered in muck... just hope it aint got into the piston but don't think it did cuz up until i ran out of fuel the engine was fine with no problems.

Anyway just ordered a red outerwears from DDM £13 incl postage :)

ah fair enough, more is better, i had same issue last weekend, fair bit of dirt found its way around the TGN and stock foam into my carby :(

Sohan, when you put the stock filter on ,put a heavy layer of grease round where it sits on the filter housing (If that makes sense?) Then shove the filter on and the pre-filter.
J;)

Ladies pantyhose will work as another layer of dust prevention. Those come in all sorts of colors, but you may look funny buying them? I have seen them used as recoil covers too.

I wish outerwears made a cinch strap to close the filter cover. You know like what they use on sweatshirts (hoodies) strings with the little plastic clasp. Pull the bag over the filter and cinch it up. It sure would make it easier to install the damn cover! I have a silenced JetPro sticking out the back and it's almost impossible to use the TGN and the Outerwears covers together. If I knew how to sew, I would make them...

No good for these boys Trip......they are always too tempted to wear them........hmmmmm yes I know red will look better on my 5th but the black does suit me more.......:lol::lol::lol:

james, thanks for the info, another forum member told me to do the same thing but do it on both sides, so the plastic housing on the carby side and then on the cirular plastic bit on the other side of filter, this is what I will be doing from now on!
