Chuck that stock air filter, it will cause you problems. Get yourself a HPI filter kit and slap a Outerwear on it and you will be good to go.

That solution is one of my "to-do's" too... I figure outerwears for the pullstart and the filter is almost a must when playin in the mud/dirt/dust/sand

i got a hpi filter sitting here just need to find a end piece for it... the flat plate.. i might order in one of those nice tgn alloy ones then :)

the tgn filters are the not so good either. they just look nice. the hpi is the best one, tho i run a python filter(tgn). as long as you have some sort of outerwears around it you will be fine. i also pretty much keep it out of sand and mudd and stuff

you now as i do P: the only protection againts curbs are those fancy shock sox that outwear makes. one day when i grow up and get a "real" job maybe i will be able to afford them. just sick of that curb eating my truck:D

and your wrong about the snow and water. only protection for that is a hefty bag. load rig into hefty bag(intire rig),tie at the top with zip tie.. now thro it down the street as hard as you can. may take some practice and its not as fun as using the radio, but your air filter wont get wet:D

That is one of the funniest things I have ever heard! Makes sense though, just use your imagination and hope you live on a hill!
