Outrunners are more powerful than inrunners. The large ones have perfect KV for the XBE. Any one planning on trying them?

They have alot more torque than a inrunner of the same size

I would run a Neu inrunner, they will have plenty of power for the XBE. I'm currently running a Neu 2220 550 kv in my hpi baja 5t (30 lbs) and it has way to much torque for the truck. Its also running on 12s.
I think a nice Neu 1521 or 1527 on 8s (using Castle Creations XL exc) would be good match for the XBE for runaway speed and power.
