Ive seen some nice bodies on here and one was just finished a few days ago...
Did you use any type mask? Rattle can or air...Prep is very inportant, I think, super clean body then lay your mask, make sure its nice and flat, no air bubles or parts that arent sticking, take your time to, Light coats very important to.
The gnome method to painting a body but I may be a bit ocd.
1.Wear latex gloves
2.I scrub the body with a nice soap like dawn, gets rid of any grease from finger prints. With the gloves on you wont leave any.
3. Carerfully lay down masking you choose to use from a pre planned pattern, design or what ever ya wanna paint. I think its important to know what ya want before ya start painting. My first body ever looked like a rainbow mixed in a mixer, had no clue.
4. make sure the mask is down firmly and take your time it will pay off. If its not rip it off start over, not worth spendy money on a body to me to do a 1/2 arse job.
5. If i use rattle can I use tamyia mainly but don't ever use walmart stuff, it flakes, seen that alot and doesn't lay well.
6 use light coats of paint, this will keep runs away and drys faster I think. But most important its not layered or running
7. Let it dry in well vented area but no breezes. Just screwed a body up that way.....
Those are my main things i do, some are overboard maybe idk, but bodies arent to cheap espacially 1/5 i don't wanna mess that up
