Not used em but both are equally important. Weight is an important factor for them when loading their vans / trucks but moreso for the manual handling procedures by the operatives. Health & safety procedures for manual handling to reduce back related injury is massive now. Just because a parcel is small doesn't make it light weight!
Similarly dimensions are important for the same reasons. A large parcel may not be heavy but the physical handling of it may require more than one person to ensure safe procedures are followed. Its all about arse covering for insurance claims.
 
 
I assume u mean overseas and yes ive sent cars to Aus, Spain and the UK its extremely expensive and it better be new, or have NO smell of fuel or Liquid fuel remaining in the engine or gas tank (if used) Ive had customs problems where they sat on the car for 45 days b4. Unless its a very high dollar item or the person buying it has deep pockets its not really worth it.
 
i would suggest contact your mail provide, for example here is Australia its Australia Post, they would be cheaper than an independant courier service.

i know when I ordered my FG MT from DDM i paid roughly $180 us I think from memory (10 months ago) and it came from the US to me in 4 days so there must be much cheaper options out there that take longer.
