Hiya folks,
I was on a different forum and put in the wanted ad for a certain item for my MT.There was a reply from a bloke saying he had what I want.He said to send the money to his addy using Paypal. Now, the thing i need to know, If i send money as a 'gift' do I have any come back if he was to scam me? (not sending the items)
Your help on this would be appreciated.

Nothing is safe. I would only purchase from a member you know to be a stand up seller and others can vouch for.
The one thing you could do is have him set it up as a buy it now on ebay and buy through there. Tell him you will pay the added fees. Its much better then paying for nothing.

Now if it is pay pal....have the guy send you pay pal invoice for the item with the amount
..And for any reason there is a problem..you use pay pal resolution center...
to file claim & stop payment...That simple.....Your Pay Pal is set up with credit
card or arangements for money to be in pay pal account......
I use pay Pal all the time...I have only use the resolution center twice in 4 years..
and got my money back........Just my opinion.......
I know there are at least 6 LSF members that would vouch for me in buying or selling..
Just my opinion...Slawhammer

he's trying to use gift tosave on the 3% fee. just pay the fee and have a legit deal. otherwise it looks like you are just sending him money as a gift and if there is a problem you are hooped
