Looking to upgrade my clutch for better take-offs and what not. What is a good one?

I use the CY 8k clutch, it's a clear improvement for take-offs. If you want to go really crazy, there's also a 10k spring available.

Yeah, you can change the springs by themselves.

The shoes in the original clutch are a little heavier, so you're engaging point will be lower than 8000rpm

i have had not gotten to those ...yet. too many parts !

for the weight application(1/5 scale <50 lbs)the 2 shoe type is ample, they have considerable range and capacity. the simple build is tough to beat. a 2 shoe with material change is by far smarter set up.

pricey clutches, but everything is light and race oriented.

heres a step up on 2 shoe.

balanced and light, heat tolerant.
