Brazing should hold just fine. I've seen it done before. Good luck ;)

Trebor, you never cease to amaze me. What a beauty. Did you do the cage yourself or sent it out? Also, what is the purpose of extending it to the front part of the car?

Chris

Chris i made the cage when i had a proper job:clown:

its made out of 10mm solid en32 steel bar....stands around 30mm higher

than a standard cage i tig welded it then spent near a week polishing it

before having it nickle plated...altogether it weighs in at 5lbs

the rear wing is stainless steel along with the gear cover

they where made from a new jaguar silencer (muffler)

before they where formed round...this was to get the jaguar logo:boat:

i can honestly say keith does run his cars and he can run them pretty hard and fast !! i've had the pleasure of racing our cars at Pleasington a couple of times, but i have to say they really are a work of art...nice one mate, mite need your services sometime in the future!

hi Poof:laugh:i no longer work where i made the bits for me marder as i made the roll cage from 10mm solid steel bar and tig welded it together then took me days to polish it before the nickle plate should have jigged up for making them:laugh:the cage weighs in at 5lbs so no light weight

a couple pics here of marder bits the gear cover is polished stainless steel also the rear wing is stainless steel on a backing of abs to stop radio glitches
