Hi everyone. This is my rc's. The 5T is mine, I had to cut the back of the body because of bad landings. The 5B is for my oldest son. And the rampage

is for my youngest son, but i do enjoy driving it. I want to thank IMADMAN and KRYPTONITE for the help with uploading the pic's.

Im right below Baton Rouge in Plaquemine. Sprint About how many hours are you from Baton Rouge. I will be getting with you in the future about a pipe.

nice collection.. those ressy shock are a dream for me. how do you like them? you know me stinger.... im not one to pry into someones personel business:D, but what the hell happened to that 5t shell??? looks like the dog ate it.

The Rezzies are nice I like them, they soak up the bumps better than the stock shocks.

And about the 5T body, I had to cut the back part off because it was flapping around.

I had some bad landings, sometimes it would land on it's rear and destroyed the back part of the body. I will have a rear bumper on it before I buy a new body.

one day i will land those ressy's!! are you running hpi's fork oil or just regular silocone shock oils. wondering how the "foaming" action fork oils work in them. are they hard to bleed air out? im going to hold myself over with the redcat ressy's with my hpi shafts. but i know its not the same..

Im using PJ1 ForkTuner forkoil 10wt gold series. And 12 hole pistons in the front & 16 hole

in the back. They are easy to bleed but it takes time, you have to let them sit for a while and it is messy. I don't know if the Rampage and 5T shock bodys are threaded the

same but I will check tomorrow aand let you know. If they are you will be able to put them on the Rampage.

Quite a ways by car about 6 hours mail will be pretty quick for you on a pipe Bryan 7046 on here got his in two days.

HI everyone. Kryptonite the Threshold Rezzies will fit the rampage shock bodies. Well

yesterday we went and ran the trucks and less than 5 min. into the run the Rampage rear shock shafts snapped. I ordered the HPI 5T front shock repair kit, I think the shafts are to long so I will try to cut and rethread them. If anyone has tried the 5T shafts before please let me know how they worked thanks.

im not sure about the 5t shafts, but i am positive the front hd shafts fit perfect. you need to replace the lower end ball with the redcats and and shim under the shock piston. i have them but haven't put them on yet. this is info from kaz

Use the 5B, 4mm x 105mm and no you can't swap the ballends, Rampages are threaded and the 5B's are not. I know this after Dremmeling one off to see a straight shaft. $9 down the drain.

no no.. im sorry. you need to swap the ball itself. not the whole bottom. just pluck the metal ball out and swap them. thats what i ment.

Hi everyone. Bryan its good to see two of us here. Piranha I have already ordered the

VVC/HD front repair kit, it comes with pistons, 6mm shafts, metal bottom caps, boots and ball ends. You said in your post to use the 4mm shafts, do you think I will have a

problem with the 6mm shafts. Kryptonite I think the kit that I ordered is the HD shafts

you were talking about. Do y'all think I will be abile to thread the bottom of the shafts,

are is the metal that the shaft is made of to hard. The reason Im asking is the Rampage

ball ends are longer than the HPI, I've read here that the spring retainer hits the a arm

with the HPI ball ends.

hpi lower rod ends arent threaded. so thats why you need to pop the ball out and replace with the redcat ball. the 6mm shaft is fine as you got the maching hpi shock body bottoms(metal). i remember when hpi came out with the hd's and lots of folks were complaining that they only made the plastic lower end thinner to compinsate for the larger shaft, resoulting in breakage, just like redcat did with the dif pins. i ran them on my first 5b with no problems. the 6mm were way better the the 4mm's. the kit that i got is just the hd shafts and metal lower ends. just got them the other day but waiting for my redcat ressy shocks..

edit: im wondering if i could run fork oil with these like the hpi's? the problem with the fork oil is it foams and builds pressure. it may couse our shocks to leak.. it would be better couse the fork oil has better dampening effects

Kryptonite the oil im using is PJ1 forktuner fork oil 10wt. semi-light gold series. It has

anti-foaming additives which provide consistent fork performance even under severe

temperature ranges, it is available in eight different viscosities. 2.5wt. to 30wt. .

That is from the bottle. It seems to be working fine in my 5T with the rezzies, i've herd

that Bel-Ray makes good fork oil also. The biggest thing is to find what works for your

conditions. hope this helps.

Do you think the HPI shafts can be threaded.

oh ya. i think so. you would need some good tooling, couse they are hardened. im not sure if its really worth it thow. when i was running my 5b i only broke one shock bottom and it was just me being careless. there is a few of us that are runnin g them with no issues. im going to test them this weekend and if they seem to hold up then i will do the same mod to my tt.
