This is my very First 1/5th Scale


and this is the very first body Ive ever painted


it is a metallic Green i did the best i can to paint this


i still have not put any gas in this or started it yet


it came with a few issues that im working out


out of the box has 1 bad steering servo so im going to my


LHS and getting all new Hitec servo's going to cost me about $150.00 for all


3 Servo's


and im getting ready to put on a X-Can with long Stingers and Medium X-Port


i have vented the gear cover like suggested


is there anything else i should look at for potential issues

One thing for sure, your gonna need more holes than that in your gear cover to vent it out. I cant see the whole cover but I can see enough of it to say it needs more venting. Believe me it didnt take me long to run out of plastic gears while I was trying to figure out just how much venting was necessary.... :( .....You really need a lot of air flow to make any difference.
 
good lookin paint job but you probably should not have cut out the windows, so try not to land on your lid,lol.....

i cut them out because i made a mistake when painting (did not window mask very well) first time painting had paint and tape fused to windows it looked


Crappy witch = cut windows out lol:D

Just a thought to restore some of the strength to your lid (and keep more dirt/ crap out)....


You can buy a piece of lexan, cut it like 3/8 inch bigger than window all around. Craze just the overlap with some very fine steel wool and use tire glue to affix the edge in place from the inside of the car
