Has anybody seen anything like this before?
I know it's a bad picture but you can see that the pinion, bearing and driveshaft and all, have been ripped out of and are at 45* with the diff case. Is this why they sell aluminum diff cases? I was running in gravel so it's possible that a rock just got lodged under the yolk and forced it somehow but I'm out of town with no tools and I just want to take a stab at what the deal is so I can have parts waiting for me when I get back.
