Pipe cracked, Sooooooo!!!

My pro pipe cracked at the 1st bend, so i decided to have some fun with what was left.


I made the front half out of stainless pipe at work. the flange is a bit overkill. 10mm thick.


It doesn't look pretty, but it seemed to still work as the old pipe did. I love the sound from the pro pipe.


It clears everything & i think it looks cool. It will do until i decide what pipe to upgrade to.
 
how big was the crack? you could have put a welded a bead over it or something.

either way, looks like your truck hauls balls with that exhaust.
 
My pipe cracked of in similar fashion. I as amazed at the difference in power with the 2" stub left over. Far better than the so called performance pipe originally.

I modded the pipe shortening the header significantly. The header pipe is only and 1" long straight into the expansion chamber, then a short 1" stub on the end of the expansion chamber. The whole pipe is straight out without bends and exits beneath the rear wing and is held by the stock exhaust clip.

I have a few pipes, this home modded jobby is by far the best of all of them. It allows far more peak revs and faster rev build....Sorry, I use ipad here so cannot shrink pics to post here, but do have a thread on the LSD forum showing the pipe if anyone is interested.
 
Same thing happened here....Just like mentioned before I was also surprised at the increase in performance after the pipe fell off just after the curve. Mine broke at the beginning of the expansion chamber, so I had the loop in the header left. It ripped so much better than before. Then Rob @ Rampage Shop hooked me up with a Jetpro Side pipe for my wifes MT Pro. Now it sounds and looks 100% better.

Hi Guys. I am new to the forum and live in South Africa. I have a Rampage MT. Also found the aluminium tuned pipe to be fragile. Very difficult to get hop up parts for the MT here. Baja's are more popular. I had to modify a Baja King Motor Thor pipe for my MT. Thought you guys might find it interesting.
