I have been reading over this site, seeing how I have a Rampage MT on the way. There is a lot of good info here and it is sure going to come in handy when my MT arrives. I am looking forward to putting it to the test and seeing what mods I can come up with. One thing I know for sure, I am not going to be running it with the stock can. The following pipes are the only ones I could find, is there any I am missing?


-Rampage tuned pipe


-JetPro side mount pipe


-TGN side mount pipe


-X Can


I am not a big fan of side mount pipes, are there any pipes coming out that will be rear exhaust? From reading over the forum I think I might have to give Sprint 77 a call and have him mod me up one of those rear Dom’s. ;)
 
Thanks for the welcome Mooman007uk. Sprint 77 does some nice work and his pipes really look like they perform. I do have the rear Samba on my Titan, so I will be seeing it that fits the Rampage. I also have several other pipes lying around so I will be playing with those also and if I can’t get them to fit I am sure Sprint 77 can get them to fit.
 
im thinking about getting the rd logics pipe, under $100 at rcsuperstore.com. has anybody used them? and if i get the pipe and have sprint 77 mod it will i have to get the aluminum body post? will it get hot enough to melt the stock post?

On a buggy the RD Logics takes some mount mods. On The truck you should be ok.
 
I'll probably get beat up for this, but I really enjoy my Redcat pipe, it helped the bottom out considerably and if you perform a realy simple mod they tend not to break, plus there inexpensive. I just took mine and used two stacked flange gaskets and rebent the wire that holds the rear and put a large piece of fuel tubing around it to dampen vibration. It works really well and has now survived for almost a gallon of fuel without breakage. And yes I have beat the hell out of it, 2 lower arms, 1 upper arm, both front shocks and one rear controll arm have all taken there toll since I installed the pipe and still no breaks.
 
Just saw another pipe option, on another forum, and it might fit right up with no modding at all. It is a little more expensive then the RD logics pipe and looks quite similar. I'm sure that the mods if needed would be fairly simple it looks like they use this pipe on different types of large scale just changed the header.

I come across the Mielke pipe and thought about getting it, but I am not sure what they mean when they say “does not provide as much power as other models”. Does it lack in torque, top end or both? I do have a Samba pipe I am going to try and mount on the MT in much the same way the Mielke pipe mounts up. The Samba may end up being a tat too long, if it is I might get the Mielke pipe a try.
 
I've a sprint77 ss pipe mod coming tomorrow (at the post office..woo hoo) can't wait to try it...there's pics in other threads...but I belive the dom mod like hellya's sprint did is THE pipe for the rampage if you drive like I do..it's so well tucked in it'll be impossible to damage
 
Mooman, Sprint’s modified DOM looks to be an impressive pipe. There is a video of one on an MT and that thing moves!! When you get your modified SS pipe on you will have to treat us to another one of your videos. I really liked your Rampage video and your FG Baja video was too cool:cool:. Knowing me I will probably end up with the modified DOM, but I want to tinker first with the pipes I have lying around.
 
SS mod vid will be done this weekend, hellyas youtube vid shows the power sprints tucked in dom mod gives..it's awesome...i'm hoping the ss pipe will give me enough to get flat out in the run up to that jump...I want to see how much air my MT can get and land without breaking
