Just received new head and piston from DDM. Awesome guys!

And I got a question. Does piston ring goes on intake or outtake hole?

As I assume it goes into intake side.

Also how about piston mount? There is one ring on one side but I do not know if I should put right on another side.

the piston has a tryangel or a round dot ,it goes toword eghaust.and the piston has a pin in the ring grove on the intake side fore the ring gap.hope that helps.

As the man said arrow, circle, or traingle marker point to the exhaust. The reason is you don't want the seam in the piston ring to catch the exhaust port as it goes up and down so you put the seam at the intake port where it cant catch that port.

and yes both sides should have clips. make dam sure they are seated correctly so you don't kill that new head in seconds
Ouch. I will have to take engine apart and put ring on another side.

The new head kit that came from ddm had one ring only on the piston, and then old engine pistin had it on one side only, so eventually I thought it is they way it supposed to be. But I am going to take head apart tomorrow and put another ring from old engine.

Thanks guys once again

P.S. Can anyone make a video how to spray foam air filter? I got one from ddm that was on sale (6$ instead of 15) along with some spray air filter oil. And I am not really sure if I should spray outside or inside or both.

what kind of air filter is it?

Almost all have an inner and outer. You usually soak the inner (stick in plastic bag squeeze or spray filter oil all over it and squish it around) and some will also do the outer w/ light spray.

should be what I described, I wouldn't use much oil on the outer and get an outwears cover... I went with the HPI setup; oiled inside foam, dryish outer sleeve and an outwears cover.

SO I assume Uni Filter needs inside insert foam?

Because outside is clued and is connected with the spring so u can push filter in or out.

But there is nothing much inside. Will be looking for foam inserts for Uni Filter.

Also Yes I do have outwear pre-filter and I use it.
