Pitstop Racing - Good or Total Jokers?

ive just read through this post wtf it was meant to be about the pit stop shop and halfway its gone into engine wars,ive used tps for a few years now and have been treated very well my only complant is no loyalty discounts for long term users,but i have contacted harrie and he is planing on doing somthink in the near future so im happy.

so the pitstop-shop jokers or good im with them all the way,,atom i think it was just bad luck mate it happens and if it happened to me id be the same mate pissed and wouldnt give them the time of day
 
I just purchased a V2 TPS ignition system from them last month. Checked with Harrie on the stock availability before placing the order. It was in stock so I carried on with my order. Within 3 days of placing the order, the item reached me in Singapore. Super fast service and I'm really happy with the product. Anyways this was not my only order from this shop. I've placed orders before and no issues at all.

I race, I use racing parts. I offered to run an obr engine to get them into the racing scene in the UK because that is the only way a racer would pick a product from a company thats not known for racing.

Here in the states that's not true at all a standard engine and a pipe does not come close to the extra power and performance that you gain from a OBR and a jetpro pipe. Weather racing or bashing I have seen the OBR at races and they race just fine. But everything is not for everybody that I do understand but for you to make the statement that " A standard engine and pipe would give bashers enough of what they need to make their car go well if cars/engines were set up well enough" That is so completely untrue.

It's not untrue at all, you read any post on here regarding engines and all people say is "I can't get this running right" or "whats the best engine" Whats the point of advising people to spend a fortune on a tuned engine and loud pipe (no mater who makes them) when the drivers can't use the power they have already got because the car turns up it's own arse when you give it big lumps of throttle or the car can't handle the power and falls to bits every run - you can't deny that every other post you'll see on a forum is on subjects just like that.
I've nothing against engine tuners or pipe manufacturers. Loud pipes are only good for one thing and thats pissing people off when you run the car in the street or local park - which is, let face it where most people run them. I would only ever advise people to go to reputable engine tuners and pipe manufacturers once they've got used to using their car with what they have and once they've learned to set it up correctly.
I would never consider suggesting and tuner or manufacturer that doesn't have race proven pedigree because while i'm sure "basher/fun driver" engine tuners do a good job, the race engine tuners are constantly developing their engines to get the best overall performance out of the engine for getting the best results on the tracks rather than a basher meet where "oh that dude over there says his engine is ace" is what matters.
At the end of the day, people will shop where they want and use what ever products they want. I'll say this time and time again (although not many listen) to finish first, first you have to finish - take that any way you like but what I mean is reliability over grunting car breaking power any time.

Unless people have a genuine issues with Pitstop then they shouldn't post on here - infact, this thread should be closed.

This is an old thread back to Sept 2011 so maybe the best way to resolve it would be to PM Atom & find out whether there is still a problem with his order.
 
well put it this way i wont be stoping from using the pit stop shop and placed a good order last night so thanks to harrie and his team for all there help over the last few years ive dealt with them and i hope to continue to us them in the future

To revert to the original subject, there WAS a communication issue, but HARRIE CAME THROUGH with the parts.
I queried a re-invoicing on my Credit card to find that the ignition system had been manufactured and sent onto me.

It is a long-standing and - until MY suggestions - a well reputed site, which has now lived up to the reputation it obviously has with WELL ESTABLISHED REGUALAR PURCHASERS, such as Mike.

I was most definitely agrieved initially, and with some justification, but this has been CORRECTED IN FULL.

Many thanks Harrie and MY APOLOGIES for any problems you may have experienced since my heated moment.

We must all realise and remember - MYSELF INCLUDED - that not all are totally fluent in English and thus some communications and subsequent replies may be difficult.

I RESCIND previous comments and WILL CONSIDER this establishment in the future.

i have placed a order last night at around midnight ive had a email allready saying theve been post and the given me all the tracking details now thats quick enough for me happy days

Excellent service :D I would think they will be more keen than ever to impress after reading this thread as 1 bad deal is 1 too many for a reputable company as these obviously are. All good for the buyer tho!
