When I received my Rampage it was missing a wheel hub & pin. Called Redcat they shipped the missing parts. First run a wheel pin fell out (will post my fix for this) tire came off truck flipped over broke the ft. bumper, body, ft. joint cup & center diff ft drive dog-bone pin. Called Redcat they replaced all the parts except for the body. Second run everything was going good then the throttle stuck wide open had to keep driving it in a circle. After about 5 min the truck wheel nut & wheel fell off ( more loc tite or flanged nuts?) the truck stopped rpm went to 15,000 ++ I shut it off all within 15 seconds. Just my luck the day before I ordered a 3rd channel engine kill. The reason for the throttle staying wide open was the black wire was never soldered in the servo & the high rpm was a result of stripped (melted) c & d gears. Redcat is taking care of the servo & gears, great support by Redcat. Has any one had as much problem in the first 30 min. or did I just get the Friday 13th truck. I will be up & running by Thursday. Thanks to everyone for the greeting.

Check out the "bulletproofing checklist" thread (dated 5-03-09 under "general rampage discussions"). A lot of people contributed. The biggest deal is overheating the gears which can be fixed by removeing the gear cover.

stock everything and still melted the gears?

Now... who was the member here tellin me that plastic is just fine when running everything else stock? ;)

Anyways, metal gears ARE on the way. Quite possibly the best thing to happen to these vehicles :D
