Andy,I said in my opinion mate.I ran standard plastics for years and only broke minor stuff.
Theres nothing wrong with the FG gear,I only found a problem with the HPI Baja plastics.

OK Toys'R'Us rules!!

Just found all the hooning around had thrown the turnbuckles out - thought it was crabbing a little!!
All's well now.

Fun with the slicks on the grass - engine's maxxing out (I do ease off, a little) - but damn, this truck's lively now!!
Probably helps that all 4 wheels weigh perhaps ~1Kg all in, not 6Kg with the alloy wheels and big MCD Tractor MT chevron tyres.
They'll definitely go back on once the 'mini heatwave' finishes next Tuesday.

Much better with shiny alloy and all round discs - and mine doesn't live on shelves!!
Yeah, OK, I understand the rear layshaft brake for serious offroad work, but this is working for now - I have a contingency plan should the rear brakes start giving hassle.

Love gadgets, love sensible bling - long may it continue!!

Plastic, Baah, Humbug!!

Probably reading this, laughing and waiting for 'his moment' !!
Certainly hope so.

Never know, with the total lack of clouds for 2 days he may have gone somewhere with 7 of his 25 FG / MCD trucks to give them a workout, then blow the dust off later ..... !!
