ok, I mounted one of those keychain cams from ebay on the. I mounted it on the engine right next to the spark plug (right side). Was that my first mistake? The only other option I see is the top of the roll cage.

Any ideas on how to get rid of the vibrations? I mounted it with velco.

I don't think vibration was the problem there, I think you had it right when you said your first problem was mounting it right next to the spark plug. What I gathered from watchin that vid was interference from the electrode in the spark plug. All that "white noise" or screeching you hear in the video point to that as the problem.

Try to find a spot farther away from your plug to mount the cam and it should be fine, most people mount them to a shock tower or fab up a mount to the bumper.

Ok, so I mounted it on the top of the roll cage and although it's better with WAY less vibration, that sound (wind like noise) is still there. I would have thought with the metal plate in between, it would shield it a bit, but I'll look at doing something on the rear shock tower or something.

Yeah its probably still just too close to the spark plug, once you mount it farther away it should work with no flickering or noise. If you still have a problem afterwards its likely to be someting in the electronics your using.

maybe you can fill a pill bottle full of foam and stick the camera in it with a hole cut in the lid so the lens peaks out. Then mount the pill bottle to your truck. Your going to want the cam (keychain) to be as snug as possible.
