Hi I'm trying to fit some used fg cable brakes to my touring car but know the brake disks bind on the pads as the disks won't sit square on hubs , there's a small gap behind the disks when the disk is fitted between pads, do in need to fit wheel spacers behind disk to bring them out to stop them sitting on a angle and what size wheel shares are needed to fit , there's not much room inside wheel when fitted, hope this makes sense , really need help here, any diagrams too on how to fit them and what parts I need, thanks

That 'slack' is necessary, and permits adjustment as the pads wear.
Best wheel squares are those that permit mounting your wheels onto your axles and you can fit locking nuts - after that, once you've established which size of wheel square you need, get ones with grooves in, to permit use of the circlips.
This helps 'square up' the disc.
Al.
