Possible Stupid Question

Ok, so I'm having trouble trying to take my motor off of my XBE. I have the motor off of the mount but the motor plate is blocking the set screw that holds the pinion on. Am I missing something here? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Ok so I figured out two things. One, it was a stupid question. Two, the pinion slid towards the motor on the shaft and that's why the motor plate was blocking the set screw. I'm thinking the stock motor got too hot and loosened up the threadlock. Time for an upgrade!

Thanks anyway rcdad! I just ordered a TP Power 5692 1100kv. I'll run that with the Mamba XL2 on 8s. I also ordered a 12 and a 13 tooth pinion which I'll run with the stock spur gear. Hopefully that will be a winning combo.

The TP5840s 8d would be my pick of those motors, got to love the 50k rpm rating,8400w and 227amps......or maybe the t5850 4D on 6s would give it some legs....

I've picked two y and one d... I'll have to find out which will fit and work with the stock esc. I've also ordered Robinson pinions ranging from 9 to 16 t to check temperatures and speed. I've got all cams from 7075rc so I'll post info on that also.

7075 cams fits the motors! These motors are solid! Plain awesome. Don't know if the will fit though, more updates later...
