I've finished painting the XBE body, in metallic blue and silver. Job is 'okay' I guess, especially for the first time. However - am I the only one who thinks adding decals is such a waste of the body at times?

I mean, when I look at other bodies, some has loads of decals on them, so a few. They always come out nice, but looking a mine - I just don't know what decals I should put on...

I'm looking foward to see our job finished ;)

Don't forget pics and video,mate :D :D :D

The green is very nice. May I ask how the letters are done? Are they painted - wuah, nice job! However, if they are decals, how do you get them like they are no decals? I don't 'see' the border of the decal. Can you please tell me how you guys did those?

If you don't like decals you have to mask them out from the back and paint them.

You could use stencils if your not that good with the exacto knife.

Thanks Bouke ! ;)

Regarding letters we use a cutter plotter like this:

Then with the "application tape" we can apply all vinyl decals on the bodies :D

Nice! Would be sweet to have one of those.
Any descent print shop should be able to cut whatever small design you come up with for a nominal fee...I guess you just need a program to create vector art (which there should be free ones to do basic graphics)

just a thought

There is a lot of software out the for plotters. Many of the plotters are software specific. Most are pretty complex.
