hi guys
im thinking of geting my fg mt alloy after market brand shock coils power coated red to break up the colors of just all alloy color on the truck

so bright red should look ok ??
now will the coils paint get scratched with use from the coild getting compressed all the time or will they be ok ??
what are your thoughts and ideas ??

is powder coating a strong paint process ??
or may be i should just buy red coil shock covers then ??,i saw these bad horsie brand covers look nice!!!

Powder coating is a good paint process, but i don't think it would be worth the money to do the shocks alone. MCD has a pair of red shocks, but they are the softest ones i believe. Try painting them with a good spray paint, that might save you some money.

I did my first HPI Baja powdercoated aluminum color and it was nice, but it cost me over $200 back 4 years ago.

I would buy covers. The shock bodies will continue to scratch from the springs. The original shock is anodized and that would hold better the powder coat I would think.
