I found a way to set it up with 6v to the rx and 11.1v to the light switch

Don't really see the use for the A and B light mode thing, but thats just me :):)

Looks good. I'd like to see it in daylight. Is the body sitting next to the chassis?

Ever consider puting both headlights on channel A and put the roof lights on channel B? Like if you wanted to conserve a little battery power, but still have some lights, you could make it so that just the headlights are lit up, or just the roof lights are lit up.

Thanks for the vid.

What's that noise in the background? Shoes in the laundry dryer?

I think the noise, apart from background radio, is the throttle / brake servo, and the red lights flashing on / off with the servo actuation.

I would like to see the installation in daylight.

I don't like little led's sticking out of plastic. I would like to see properly installed light pods.

Al.

Don't mind the noise, it's my wife in the background playing with the dog :)
The only noise from the FG are the servos turning right to left, brake and throttle.

These are the LEDs I have used for the setup:
IMAG0062-1.webp
IMG_0087.webp

They where very easy to solder. And now that I found a way to use 3S lipo to the leds they are really bright :)

They are mounted between the inner and outer part of the lexan. They don't stick out any, but are flush with the front lights. To cover up the holes I made for the three leds I ordered some front and rear decals. The only thing that will show are 2mm holes in the decals.

I will post up some more pictures when I get all the wires into the new battery box and rest of the wires glued to the body with hot glue :):)

on my beetle the last owner made the light pods out of small jam jar lids? leaving the headlight area of the shell clear(looks like glass lenses) and is a really good fit, looks good to me
