Project 1/5 Scale RC Car Hauler Trailer

I have started a project to build a 1/5 scale RC Car hauler...


Here's what I have so far:


The project is to build an aluminum RC Car Hauler trailer.


The outer frame is going to be made of 3/4" aluminum c-channel


The center made with 3/4" aluminum square tube


The deck is aluminum diamond plate.


The wheels are 4 HPI 5b tarmac busters...


Dimensions of the deck: 18" wide x 30" long rectangle... Then there is an additional 9" of tapered/triangular deck that I might build a storage box on.


There is going to be a 5" long tongue as well.


The left over diamond plate is going to be the ramps 2 ramps that are 6" wide x 12" long


Will keep updating as the build continues...


Here's a picture of the parts...

I have cut the deck and mounted it to the frame... Will post more pictures later..

I want to build a trailer to haul my 56" Boat with my RRMT... \

sadly I can't weld AL for a real trailer, but I can put PVC pipe together with some wheels...lol

Thanks.... I don't weld either... I am using 1/8" aluminum rivets... The deck is stiffening up the frame... Oh and I plan on hauling this..

My 1/6 scale VW Touareg (Mad Gear Dallas Edition) or my 1/8 scale Exceed Max Stone rock crawler..

Here's an up date on the trailer.

The deck has been attached and so has the center rail.

The pieces for the ramp shelf are cut and so are the plate stiffeners...
