I should start a new thread but oh well...
Here is the car I got from Gunsmith. It is going through it's transformation now. It is dubbed the Hell Viper. I have made this a dual purpose rc. In the pics below, it is shown as an off roader. But gears and tires and can be swapped, even swaybars added, to burn some pavement.
All the arm, steering rods and dogbones are new, as is the gas tank and fuel lines. The arms are now Firehammer MT so it is wider than normal, which makes it a very stable ride either way. I have the dogbones and such to make it normal width, but a set of Firehammer buggy arms will be needed. This car was a Hobby pro, but all the parts now have been swapped out for Firehammer or FG (all drivetrain is FG) aside from the chassis and motor mounts.
Tonight I added a rollbar and made a motor brace (in case the motor mount screws come loose, it keeps the motor from moving and killing a layshaft gear) and it also reduces chassis flex. I took a pic beside my Firehammer MT with buggy wheels on to show how big this beast really is.
It has back brakes on it now for the first time in since it's arrival to Canada hehe, and has front disc brakes. it is short a servo for the front brake as I needed one for the mt. the battery is a 2000 mah nmh, but nothing special.
All that is really needed to be done now is silicone mod to the rear dif area and screen mod to the motor. I'll probably do those tomorrow or the next
