Project Black Rezzination

Well my 5b that i had is pretty much a twin powered monster t, minus wheels, so I had an idea after i got my Kraken chassis. I have had the Rezzies for a bit, and came across a decent deal on front and rear assemblies, and a few other goodies. Along came a new 5b project.

here's what showed up today
Rear Section: Chase shock towers, TR shock mount, SS shocks, Hostile 4 deg hubs, FLM cups and dog bones, Dark Soul Axle extenders.
Front Section: RPM arms, Lunatik Stainless Steel turnbuckles, TR Top plate, RPM front bumper, Headlights, FFRC Shock tower
Killer cables all around
Mocked up: TR V1 enclosed clutch system, TR rear trans plate

still unsure of direction for motor / electronics. been kicking some different thoughts around, but nothing concrete.

Have had this body sitting around doing nothing since I decided to make the other a twin. Decided to cut it out last night.

Alright, got a few parts ordered. First batch showed up. New tank, rollbar set, wing, battery box assy, and new rims. Hopefully front tires, receiver, and steering servo make it in shortly.

All that's needed, after those parts show, to get her running is throttle servo and motor / kill switch. Which I can probly make a motor from spares I have, and I'm sure I have a throttle servo somewhere.

Got the front tires and receiver in today. Already had bow tie rears so got the fronts. Didn't get my steering servo yet. Waiting on it to show to start assembling.

Started doing a little work last night while watching the tourney games. But was apparently in the way of the wife doing laundry so not much progress.
Did get my last set of packages in right before I had to hit the road today.

Masking tape finally came back in stock. Now I can lay some paint.

Got to sit down last night and get some work done on this, while watching the ncaa games, so here she is, starting to take shape nicely.







not sure yet if this is going to be how i leave the rezzies mounted, had to find somehow to keep the hoses and bodies off the pipe.

Mailman showed with a few more pieces. Will get them installed tonight. Hopefully my killswitch will be here tomorrow and I can fire it up Sunday. Going to try and paint tomorrow. Probly won't run it with a body Sunday though.

got some work done tonight, rims assembled, installed, rear skid plate on, will install the intake tomorrow, might get some time to paint.







eventually the a arms will come off and get dyed black.

i decided to go simple on the paint scheme for this. outlaw black base, house of kolors transparent tangerine stripes, and a white cover. i think the orange will look great when out in the sun, the camera flash is giving it different shades, so the sun should make it look killer.

also going to pick up some fasmask and another body down the road, and do a little more intricate paintjob.

thanks man, she's turning out great

did the final trimming on the body, got the super bee installed, now don't have to worry about that, and figured i'd shoot more more pics since the sun was out today.







also found somewhere to put some my sticker pile that keeps adding up.
