I have decided to go large scale electric but not in any conventional way. I am taking the savage flux to 1/5 scale conversion route. Below is a list of items ordered and on hand to do the conversion:

1 savage flux
1 tcs crawlers 5t conversion
1 prepainted hpi baja 5b body and wing
2 pairs proline escavators on desperado rims
1 hpi heavy duty wide axles
1 hpi big bore aluminum shock set
1 set of rpm a arms for front and rear
1 traxxas body mount set for slash
1 hpi savage suspension conversion kit
2x redcat racing dunerunner front shocks
1x redcat dunerunner light pods
1x ramtech light kit for dunerunner light pods
1x hpi 24mm wheel hex adapters
1x thunder tiger rk8 cart driver
all the pinions and spur gears in the mid range

Here is the starting point:

Keep us posted.
I'm fine with nitro to BL, but IMO can't see the point of BL where petrol is involved, unless there are noise restrictions.
I AM an electric fan and I do wish you well. Sorry if this sounds a tad negative; just honest!

still have my gas cars too. Just want to have something different. Plus can run it anywhere including local parks as the noise level is much lower than gas.

Much as I regret it, I have to agree.
'Hyperpete' and 'Pablo' have their mates the Headmaster and CSO711 for that :D:D:mad::mad::D:D
I took an oversized, hyperpowered BL E-Maxx (FLM chassis) there and everyone liked it, wheelying DOWN a slope, keeping the chassis horizontal, so it was flat to blast away ..... it's got a Feigao 580L motor and is running 6S - 2x 3S in series. It's wild and I like it.
My other favourite is my BL VXL 1/16 Revo - great fun!!

THEN

I fire up the FG MT, and I forget the others ... :D:D:D :p
