here's my proline desert rat body all finished, took me since saturday to paint it as I'm not a great man with an airbrush but it turned out OK. Now i figured out why my airbrush wasn't giving a fine line, user error of course, I'll get a bit more creative with the beetle bod that's going on my fgbaja.

That is a real nice fit. Good job on the paint scheme.:cool2: Looks like a mini monster truck now!!
It would be cool looking if you could get the shock bodies anod green to fit the color of the body.

A bit of trimming front and rear and it fits like a glove, tires just barely touch on full stuff.

The rampage body is absolute rubbish and cracks on any impact but fortunately many others fit or fit with a bit of trimming, proline 5t, mcd truck, hurrax yuckon truck, fg truck, jeep and beetle, asgard by vx and atomic and MMR bodies.
The leopard body, MMR buggy bod, proline 5t (can use with rear wing mount with no mods) fit the rampage buggy.

How did you do the graphics?

I'm a crap artist so i used xxx main stencils (if I try to draw flames they end up looking like a 5yr old drew them), the fade was ok but now i know i got the airbrush to work proper I'll be able to do better and get better shadows on the graffics for the beetle bod, still trying to decide colours and stuff at the mo.
I used fastkolor pearl for the colours which are real nice....might try a metal flake next

I thank you all for your positive comments... It's no zielke but i'm real pleased with the way it turned out considering the limited artistic skills I possess:laugh:

redcat body doesn't take much to shatter it

i didnt make it thru 2 tanks of fuel before my mt5 body shattered. i admit it was cold out but i never saw the much damage from a minor roll over. any sggestions on a durable body?

I have heard the redcat bodies are thin. With the cold it must make the problem much worse.
There are a couple but they are not cheap. There is the MCD, FG and this one: http://i212.photobucket.com/albums/cc80/mikecasc/baja/IMG_2039.jpg

I'm sure the other RR guys will speak up.

The bodies suck. That's the best description I can give. I used some drywall patch/tape stuff and shoe goo all over the inside. Helped....kinda. After a few major rolls, that thing is now just barely hanging on. I like the look of the body, but it just isn't worth the 70 bucks they sell for. FG will last you a long long time.
