Ok now...my pull start had broke at the end where you tie a knot, that sharp metal piece in the handle probably cut it. I took the cover off fixed it and then put it back on, now it's hanging like a rat tail after pulling on it, any suggestions for fix?

I have a start problem as well. I haven't checked the plug yet but I'll do that shortly, gotta mow the yard before the sun goes down! :)

It ran fine yesterday, maybe Idle screw or plug? It is getting gas, the bulb filled up when I primed it. Hmmm...well, I gotta go the sun goes down earlier now, winter is just around the corner! :(

I just re wrappedmy pull start with some yellow nylon rope... when I tie the knot in the handle part, do it more like a fishing lure knot. wrap the string through 2-4 times instead of just once like a shoe knot. then cut the excess off and melt with a lighter

Thanks pipe, I had already done that but I'm getting excess/loose rope after I tried to start it. I took up the slack before I put the case back on, is there something I missed or didn't do first?

I didn't get to mess with it again, I will tomorrow after I fix the rope. I had to mow the yard, I was in a race with nightfall and rain! I lost! lmao

Oh yeah, thanks for the info! I didn't even think about YouTube.
