Pull start question

i just got a new obr 31.8 full mod and the compression stripped the paws on the pull start after I started it 4 times. I don't wanna keep having to order the paws for it. Is the turtle racing pull start worth the money or is it going to have the same problems?

They make metal pawls for the stock starter: http://www.davesmotors.com/ddm-metal-starter-pawl-for-zenoah-cy-engines.html. I cant speak for how well it holds up but I also just stripped the stocker after less than a gallon and with the difference in price I had to try the metal pawls first.

It is worth it. I had to replace metal starter pawl and flywheel starter cup once every season. P.I.T.A. Consider a lifetime investment in 5th. scales, swaps from motor to motor, you'll take it with you.
