if nothing's physically broken, and the spring still works, try BtB's video to wind the cord back in..

if it won't recoil at all, strip it down see if the ends broken on the spring or casing etc etc..
edit; if you do end up taking it apart, do so carefully or the spring monster may attack if it's not broken! :ninja:
