Since Zenoah does not make a stroker crank to build the motor I am building I will be running a CY crank. Now to put a Zenoah piston on a CY crank do you have to run both the Zenoah wrist pin bearing and the washers or just the washers?
Thanks

Both the Zen and CY wrist pin are 8mm OD. The Zen wrist pin bearing is about .040 shorter then the CY. I know the spacers (washers) are different but do not have any to compare right now.
Thanks

im trying to do the same thing, zenoah top end on cy bottom end. i always thought the pin washers were the difference, appears i now need to order a zenoah bin bearing.

ive got zenoah pin washers and it still doesn't work. i measured the cy bearing and a zenoah bearing and i did confirm they are about .040" difference in thickness.

use the wrist pin, bearing, and washers for the brand piston you are using. i.e. cy-cy, zen-zen, rcmk-rcmk, so on. crank doesn't matter, each brand piston uses its specific parts. mismatching will result in failure possibly.

here is my findings. the zenoah and cy washers are the same width, the difference is the bearing, its roughly 0.040" wider than the zenoah bearing, and the zenoah piston has a narrower opening for the rod/bearing/washers. my remedy to fix this was to sand the cy bearing down roughly 0.020 on each side, and had fit it till i had the clearance i was after. seems to have worked out fine, no issues as of yet.

for what its worth, the needles in the cage, zenoah to cy, are the same width, just the cage is wider

yes, you can modify parts to work if you are wanting to mismatch them. for the inexperienced builders, just use the parts that come with your head kit. i know what you mean though, i have a tray full of piston parts and if the need arises and am piecing a motor together, the parts could definitely be modded to work together.
