Question about gearing

Ok i have a question about the gearing inside these King Motor buggies.My friend purchased one about 2 weeks ago,we put a ESP 30.5 stuffed stroker in this car and a JP v3 with the optional silencer. this car seems to have no bottom end at all! now i have ran JP v3 pipes before on my 5T and it ran very well. so does anybody now if the gearing in these cars is taller or are they the same?

There should be no issue with bottom end on that motor with any tuned pipe. Are you sure it is in tune?

It is tuned as good as it can be, we are now looking into a possible issue with compression.

There has to be some other issue. That motor should be a monster.

i'm not sure what the standard gearing is, but on mine was a 17t pinion... are things tight in the gearbox? can the wheels be rotated easily by hand? can you rotate the spur gear easily? errr...

take the carb back to stock settings (low end 1.5 turns out, top end about 1.75 turns out) and take it from there. have a look at the tuning thread on the largescale engines bit on this forum! hope you find the solution matey..
